Heavens on earth! Azad Kashmir has most famous place picnic places in Pakistan. Every year thousands tourists from Pakistan and other countries visit Azad Kashmir to experience the natural beauty of lush green mountains, roaring rivers, enchanting streams, thick forests, high altitude lakes, sky touching snow clad peaks and long long glaciers both in Summer and winter. Such picnic spots in Azad Kashmir makes it top visited territory across the Pakistan.
Followings are the famous picnic places to visit in Pakistani administrated Azad Kashmir….

Banjosa Lake

  

Banjosa Lake is located near Rawalakot in Azad Kashmir. An artificial lake at an altitude of 1981 meters, a manmade land because of its beautiful and amazing views and fabulous garden, is very famous tourist spot with lively trees and colorful flowers. Facilitated with swings and slides the spot is an attraction for kids as well. Banjosa Lake is surrounded by mountains and lush green garden abundant with flowers and trees, this is a very beautiful small lake.

Toli Pir
  

Toli Pir is hilltop and the most attractive point in the north-eastern area of Rawalakot. It is one of the most beautiful and fascinating tourist spot in Rawlakot at approximate height is about 8800 feet. It is all covered with green and paved grass land. Tolipir offers outback time on wide spread grassy fields and aspiring views as it is the origin point of three different mountainous ridges. The hill station is named after a saint and there are remains of Mazaar at the top of Tolipir. Winter is stormy out there, heavy snow covers surrounding hills making the spot almost unvisitable.

Muzaffarabad

  

Muzaffarabad is the capital of Azad Kashmir in Pakistan. Located on the banks of the Jhelum and Neelum rivers with boundaries along with Khayber Pakhtunkhwa in the west. Indian occupied Kupwara and Baramulla in the east and the Neelum District of Azad Kashmir in the north.
Literacy rate of Muzaffarabad is pretty high, business orientated class maintaining close ties with the financial capitals of Northern Pakistan. Muzaffarabad is a prime destination for further and higher education for youngsters of Azad Kashmir. The city also produces the elite class of Azad Kashmir such as doctors, engineers, lawyers and businessmen.

Neelum Valley

  
Neelum Valley in north of Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir runs parallel to Kaghan Valley, snow clad peaks separate both valleys. Neelum Valley represents panoramic views of springs, waterfalls, enchanting streams, gigantic hills, noisy river and thick forests. Touring spots; Kundal Shahi, Kutton, Jagran, Salkhla, Athmuqam, Keran, Upper Neelum, Dowarian, Sharda, Kel, Arang Kel, Halmat and Taobutt.

Leepa Valley

  

Leepa is one of the most fascinating valleys in Azad Kashmir. A fair-weather road branches off for Leepa from Naile, 45 kilometers from Muzaffarabad, climbs over Reshian Gali 3200 meters high and then descends to 1677 meters on the other side into the Leepa Valley. It spells bounds everyone who visits this valley. Summer is very pleasant whereas winter receives heavy snowfalls, as the result valley remained open for tourists only from May to October.
